MONDAY

I started the week off strong with this one. It’s simple, but when in doubt, I always love referring back to a three-colour palette and the little details - the chunky jewellery combo, a more intricate sandal, the belt - help to pull this one together. I’ve had to reference my diary as Monday felt like a LIFETIME ago, but I had a day of Zoom meetings and needed to pop out to run a few errands. The outfit is perhaps a little smarter than I’d usually wear and feels more like a London-day ensemble, but maybe that’s the recipe for a productive Monday because I was *getting it done*: chunky jewellery + black linen shirt tucked in + black belt + wide-leg white jeans + strap sandals + brown leather woven bag. I must have liked it because it became my unintentional outfit recipe for the next four days…

TUESDAY

Earrings* / necklace* / shirt*/ trousers* / sandals* (ad - gifted) / bag*

I headed up to London on Tuesday for a day of meetings, and in the end, I settled for an outfit I’d worn up the previous week as I loved it so much. It’s all-black, which will always be my outfit happy place (despite my colour analysis!), but the mix of the light linen with the almost school-like trousers feels like the perfect smart-casual mix. The jewellery and the bag are my style signatures at the moment, so overall I felt right in this. The only negative? It was freezing in London, and it rained. I had no umbrella and had to walk for 20 minutes to my next appointment while taking a literal rain shower. It was one of those moments where you have to laugh. So what this outfit really needed was an umbrella, a jacket, and me to have the sense to check the weather before I left.

A trip to the Toteme store. See what I picked up in Friday’s post.
