MONDAY
For Monday I just needed something comfortable. It was a day of working from home and shooting for Substack and YouTube and involved a lot of getting changed, so for before and after I just wanted to feel comfy. This felt like a good compromise - jeans and what is essentially my pyjama top. Every time I wear one of these sweatshirts as my ‘actual’ outfit for the day, I have to say how they are my favourite cotton jumpers. But seriously!!!! If you aren’t on the ARKET Soft Terry* rave train then you need to get on. I think I’ve had this jumper for about three years now and it just gets better and better. Oh, if you want to see what we were shooting on Monday, it was this…
What To Wear For An Evening Out
In the comments of my April Style Clinic post the top comment came from Chelsea… “Hi Anna, I’m never sure what to wear for dressier evening events. What’s the equivalent of “jeans and a going out top” nowadays for 30-somethings?” With 30 likes on the comment, it’s obviously a conundrum a lot of us have!!!
TUESDAY
So there’s a change of location for the next few weeks as our back room is being replastered which is both extremely satisfying and extremely messy in equal measures. Tuesday was a whirlwind of appointments and meetings and this ticked the boxes for them all. Like who knew I’d be getting so much wear out of a pair of trousers that have sat unloved in my wardrobe since I got them in…. November!?! If you’ve got a pair of black trousers just hanging around then give this a go - denim shirt + black trousers + flip-flops + textured bag. I added a vest underneath as it was a little chilly for when I was dashing to the car and back, but it’s a good formula to try for those in-between days.
