MONDAY

Vintage necklace / jumper / ARKET trousers (similar*) / flats*

I eased myself into the week with a meeting-free day working from home, and I can’t lie - I just wanted to wear pyjamas. But instead, I wore this fully elasticated number. So much ease, so much chill and the little vintage necklace was a nice touch. The good news is that COS have an even better dupe for my sold-out ARKET pair of boiled wool trousers than I first thought - these*! And they are brown!

And what I threw on for drop-off and pick-up; and old COS coat, my vintage Levi’s 501’s and my very practical rainboots* because it was tipping down.

TUESDAY

Scarf* / trench* (ad - gifted) / jeans* / Dear Frances Park Boots (secondhand*) / secondhand bag* (some good Etsy dupes here* and here*)

We were feeling a little spent on Tuesday (our little one has started to think that 4 am is a good wake-up time!? BRING ON THE TEENAGE LIE-INS!!!), so we took the day off for a little R&R. An early morning cinema trip to see ‘Is This Thing On?’ - a solid 3/5 for me - followed by a hearty lunch out. Just what we needed. The weather was utterly grim, so it truly was an outfit born out of practicality. Chunky boots, a trench that dried out quickly after it got wet and a scarf that I fashioned into a little blanket in the cinema or a hood when we were outside. Nothing special, but one of those moments where my wardrobe clicked into place and did exactly what I needed it to do. Satisfying.

Knepp in the winter is COSY.
