This week I’m channelling some serious back-to-school vibes and trying on everything in my wardrobe; yes, all 200+ pieces, and yes, it took an age. It’s the perfect antidote for the pre-autumn urge to buy EVERYTHING, and to be honest, it’s something I plan to implement annually going forward. I like what’s in my wardrobe again! I’ve rediscovered items I’d long forgotten about! And I’ve successfully downsized my wardrobe by 20%. No mean feat! Missed parts one and two? You can find them here:

  • Trying on every piece of outerwear I own (warning: will make you feel itchy for autumn).

  • My bag collection, that adds variety to my pretty basic wardrobe. Colour! Shape! Texture! It’s here.

Remember, these are my aims of the try on:

  • Streamline where possible.

  • Make sure everything fits, is clean, in working order and ready to wear.

  • Ensure I love it. If there’s hesitation, or I’m keeping something just to fill a category that I think is a ‘need’ but never really reach for, it’s gotta go.

Today we’re talking tops. Yes, ALL tops. Knitwear, cardigans, vests, waistcoats and a whole lot of T-shirts. I tried on over 70 tops here but somehow managed to distil it down to a 10-minute, extremely satisfying video for you. Not in the mood for that? I photographed every piece and put together CliffsNotes. Read on for my favourite jumper of all (from the men’s section!), the T-shirt I can’t stop wearing (and no, it’s not the LESET Margo Tee!) and the almost 15 items that ended up on my Vinted pile…
