The Style Edit: Rating Every Purchase I've Made So Far This Year
Plus, suede jackets, affordable denim and two ways to add fringing.
I’m writing this post on what feels like the first day of sunshine we’ve had in the U.K since 2026 started (this TikTok has tickled me all week - DYING how overexcited we were for just a singular day of sun in the weather app). So there’s a sprinkle of spring flavour to my screenshots and saves this week, and I can’t say I’m mad about it.
UNIQLO have done a big denim rollout this week, and I keep seeing these JW Anderson Baggy Jeans* everywhere. They remind me of a slightly more eased out version of the Still Here Childhood Jeans*, but they are £35. MAD. 100% cotton, too. If you want something even slouchier, try the Unisex Baggy Curve Jeans* - Marianne sold me on them here.

I don’t think I’m a leather bomber kinda gal - but this St Agni Utility Cocoon Suede Jacket* feels bomber-adjacent in a way, with the polish dialled up. And you already know I’m in love with the colour. VERY into the styling here.

I always stay vigilant for duplicates of items I own that I’m always asked about, and when I spotted this knit*, I knew it was a dead ringer for my long-gone La Ligne Marin Sweater*. The bad news? It’s one size, which always gets my goat. The good news? It’s 100% cotton, which isn’t always the case with Sézane.
I also spotted these Massimo Dutti Suede Loafers*, which feel very reminiscent of my Aeyde Jasper Suede Loafers*. Similar tone, stitching, shape - they just happen to be a third of the price.
If you’ve been after this Faithfull dress that I got two years ago to wear to weddings and haven’t been invited to one since (forever begging my mates for a destination wedding - I’ve never been!!), Nobody’s Child has made one* that’s essentially exactly the same.
I have zero idea why the price for this bag is showing as £32*?!? But sure - I’ll take it! When it’s not in use as a clutch, I love the idea of just using it as a general organisation pouch in a larger tote.
Owning this exact bag already in the tan colourway means I sadly cannot justify the Dragon Diffusion Santa Croc Woven Leather Tote in Army Green*, but DAMN I wish I could. Personally, I’d throw this thing on year-round.
I’m well aware that fringing, for me, feels more trend-led than a wardrobe staple, but that doesn’t mean you can’t dabble in the 10% concept Kelly proposed from time to time. It’s just not something that I’ll dedicate a large proportion of my budget to, and in an ideal world, I’d source something vintage and fun that felt unique. If you fancied a quick hit, I’d try this 100% silk scarf* or macramé cord belt*.
Below the paywall this week: rating every single item I’ve bought so far in 2026 and how it’s all been working with my wardrobe, instead of against it…
