The Style Edit: The Best Gift Money Can Buy, Silk Capes & Leopard Print Jackets
A BRAND NEW LESET MARGO TEE!! Sound the alarms, people!!!
Am I a good Writer?! No. But I am consistent? Now that’s where I shine, babyyyy. So even though there isn’t a full style smorgasbord for you today - my little one is off this week, and being one his top two humans in the world, I’m revelling in the attention whilst it lasts!! - there’s still a little something for you. A handful of shopping gems I’ve found that I’d love nothing more than to share. So let’s dig in, shall we? Usual programming will resume next week…

Look, I’m a sucker for personalised jewellery. If there’s the ability to carve an ‘R’ into a piece, then I’m doing it. A peridot birthstone*? Gimme. Birthdates? Even better. But it’s not just for me; I love giving my friends birthstone pendants on their kids’ first birthdays as a little well-done gift for surviving their first year of motherhood. Gift giving is my love language after all.
And here’s a date for your diaries - Sunday 15th March is Mother’s Day (don’t worry U.S folk, you’ve got until May to put in your gift requests!). And I will forever stand by my statement that meaningful jewellery and a spa day are the perfect gift combo, whatever time of the year. Monica Vinder offers a ton of customisations on some of their best-selling items*; you could add an initial to the Signature Signet Ring*, or scribe a name or birthdate onto the Essential Bangle*. Necklaces are a solid choice because you never need to fuss with sizing, and the Birthstone Locket* is something they could add to an existing necklace they already own (plus points for adding a photo inside before you gift!).
Or maybe you go down the charm route*? This Oval Link Chain Charm Necklace* will kickstart their collection, or this charm stack* is the perfect bundle, with a pendant you can engrave, a birthstone locket and an initial charm. MV has options by the bucketload.

I know I’m on a grey sweater kick right now (and my heart lies with this one*), but if I didn’t get whacked with duties and taxes each time I made an order, you know I would have roadtested this DONNI Eco-Fleece Oversized Sweatshirt*. Worn with the Eco-Fleece Wide Leg Sweatpants*? I’d think I’d be happy to hibernate until the end of winter in that outfit alone. Code ANNA10 still works, FYI.
A 100% silk cape*?! SOLD!! I also love the styling here. It’s the kind of thing I could imagine throwing on in the evening with jeans, or wearing with white linen wide-leg trousers in the summer, with your favourite pendant*.

My love for knitwear knows no bounds, so the way I squealed when I spotted this & Daughter Cashel Chore Jacket*. Once it gets too warm for a chunky knit (soon!!!), this is the kind of thing you could sling over a tee or, like here, a shirt, for an extra layer that still feels cosy.
Ok, these are GENIUS. I know that balloon-style trousers are having a moment, which looks set to continue over the summer, but for those times when you aren’t feeling so trendy, or the proportions don’t work with your outfit, what if you could just let the hem out to instead fall into a wide-leg shape? Well, you can with these ME+EM Cheesecloth Drawstring Hem Trousers*. They remind me of the more summer-friendly version of the Still Here Sport Jeans*.
🚨SOUND THE ALARM 🚨 The LESET Margo tee now comes in a V-neck version* and I’m into it. It’s not too low or too high, and ultimately everything I love about this tee - the slightly cropped length that doesn’t require tucking and the weighty feel - all remains the same.

It feels early to think about raffia bags, but in my defence, they are a piece that I wear year-round. They are the easiest way to add tension to a look when you’re basically just cycling through every wool coat you own. I’d been trying to search for a dupe for The Row Estelle Bag that I managed to snag on Vestiaire, and although I didn’t find the one, there were some simple, everyday designs that didn’t have super hefty price tags. From L-R:
Large Raffia Tote* - reminds me a little of The Row Emilie style.
Crochet Raffia Tote* - felt the most like my Estelle.
Raffia Shoulder Bag* - I like the edginess the black adds.
Crochet Raffia Bag* - ADORABLE for summer evenings.
I was pretty set on the & Other Stories Penny Loafers* as my key shoe purchase for spring, but I’m pressing pause until my order of these Massimo Dutti Embossed Leather Loafers* arrives. There’s a high chance they will look exactly the darn same as each other, but I was tempted to see if the deep chocolate brown would feel more in my wheelhouse than a classic black. I’ll report back!
I think I’ll do more of a deep dive soon on the purchases that I’ve made so far this year, but just to bring to your attention that Flore Flore is now stocked on NAP*! Big news! I’ve picked up three things from them so far:
Flore Flore Steffi Boat Neck Top* - A boat neck that you can wear where (most of the time) your bra straps don’t show. HOORAY!
Flore Flore Diana Polo Shirt* - Something a bit different for me - obviously I adore the brown - but the polo style is something that feels like the kind of thing I’d grab for chill weekend plans or WFH.
Flore Flore Dinah Turtleneck* - This has replaced my well-worn UNIQLO one and is far thicker, without feeling too constricting.
Like the rest of fashion Substack, I too can’t stop thinking about this Róhe Pony Hair Coat*, but perhaps this House of Harlow x REVOLVE Perry Faux Fur Coat* that I spotted on Natalia is a very good alternative for like, an 1/8th of the price.
…and finally, some beauty newness. I worked with MERIT on the launch of their Signature Lip Blushes* recently, and although this isn’t part of it, I have to give them some love because, for an everyday lip colour that isn’t just a lip balm, these are what I want to use. Vendôme is a good everyday brown-ish nude on me that doesn’t run too orange, but if I fancy something brighter, I’ve been reaching for Andie. It’s balmy with just a hint of colour that feels like a blotted out stain - exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks for being part of The Wardrobe Edit. If you like what you read, I’d truly appreciate it if you liked, shared, or left a comment - it makes all the difference.

You are a great writer Anna!! One of the only newsletters where I can hear your voice in my head and where I laugh out loud bc of your humor. I also am such a sucker for personalized anything!
