Trying On Everything I Bought Recently

My DHL guy and I are best mates at this point.

If there’s one thing I’m efficient at, it’s returns. Having boxes of unwanted goods in my home?! No, thank you. As a Virgo, I am physically allergic to clutter of any kind, so often if something is delivered and gives me a full-body no, I’m back at the Post Office with it in a box within a cool 60 minutes.

However, that’s not necessarily the most helpful thing for you. Often I’ll mention that something didn’t work out, and I’ll get comments about why exactly. Was it the fit? The length? Weird bunching in the crotch? And often the best way to show those things is in video. So I’m trying to get better at filming these try-ons before I trot off on my Post Office visit. Waiting for a few parcels to gather, trying it all on and talking you through what’s staying and what’s going, and I have to say this was a pretty successful episode. I usually reserve these for paid subs only, but I’m opening up today’s one so you can get a taste for what they are like. Enjoy it? Consider upgrading and making my day!

Treat yourself to fun emails!!!

As always, there are timestamps if you want to fast-forward to particular items, links to everything I mention, along with fit notes, and I’ve also added some photos below if you don’t have time for a 45-minute-long video right now. FAIR!!

Also, please can we ignore that I had a poppy seed slotted into my front teeth the whole time from my lunchtime lox bagel? THANK YOU!

And if you’re all out of time and want the TLDW recap…

Here wearing the AGOLDE 90’s Pinch Waist Jeans* and the Navygrey Linen T-shirt*. The jeans I knew were an instant keep - the colour was exactly what I was looking for, and they fitted like a glove. However, I cooled on the tee. I realised that I really, really want a navy T-shirt in my wardrobe, but I’d prefer something that I didn’t have to tuck, like a LESET Margo* or this Reformation one* (both are OOS, so I’m going to wait patiently and return the Navygrey version).
I took the recommendation from the commenters on the live and am returning the large in this LESET Margo Baseball T-shirt* for the medium. I agreed that there was a bit too much bagginess happening around the chest. Then these St Agni Everyday Wool-Blend Wide-Leg Trousers* were everything I wanted them to be, but again were the wrong size. I await the arrival of the medium and have everything crossed (ED UPDATE: They fit!!)
No notes here. I loved both pieces and am keeping both pieces. So it turns out I love a V-neck - who knew?! I’ve been so committed to my crewnecks for so long that even though it’s just a T-shirt, the Navygrey Linen V-neck* felt different for me. Size up for a TSS, semi-slouchy fit. And the LESET Nando Lounge Pants* are the kind of thing you could throw on for any sort of WFH/chill/family day. I like that I could roll the waistband once or twice for a more cropped fit.
The T-shirt here is an old LESET Margo*, but the trousers - the James Perce Wide-Leg Sweatpants* are a new Monikh-inspired buy. When I tried them on in the video, I was initially wowed because I don’t think I’ve ever tried on a pair of tracksuit bottoms that were so flattering. But upon reflection, I just don’t know I need another pair of tracksuit bottoms when I love my LBS pair so much. To be fair, these have a different shape, but I was like 95% convinced, not 100%. I ended up returning them, but they are a classic style for the brand that are always there and always in stock if I change my mind.

12 Months of Above-Average Purchases: Rating Every Single Thing I Bought in 2025

I’m a little late to writing this post. Ok, like almost six months late. The bones of this post have been sitting in my drafts for a while. But still, I wanted to write it because I feel like this genre of ‘show and tell’ is perhaps the most helpful of all. I get a chance to reflect on the good, the bad, and the already on Vinted, and you get to see the pieces that pulled their weight in my wardrobe. The ones that months, and in some cases, over a year later, remain at the forefront of
