Going to have to get those mini where’s wally books for my son! Thanks for the recommendation. My little one loves the Richard Scarry version - a book called ‘Cars & Trucks & Things that go” and you have to find a little character called Goldbug on each page! Xx
I found Careless People a gripping read as well. Given Meta has just settled a court case in the US for billions of dollars, I can’t help thinking they wouldn’t be in this situation if they’d been more careful from the start.
As an IOW resident, thanks for the island shout out! I thought I recognised Harvey Brown’s in the background of one of the J Crew jumper photos. Will try LOAPH as hadn’t heard that recommendation. When the sun shines the IOW is a beautiful place to be. Some great summer holiday memories made this year. Heard a little girl shout from the back of the ferry “Thank you Isle of Wight, I love ya!”
Anna! As a fellow gal with armpit hyperhydrosis I highly highly recommend Botox for pits!! You do it about every six months and oh my god it’s a game changer. I’ve done it for ten years and will never not do it. I was sooo self conscious before, I’m a professor and perform piano fairly regularly and I was so stressed about my sweat being on display. Haven’t worried about it since I started the ‘tox!
lol I'm sweaty too! The funk is real. I've been doing underarm botox for a couple of years and it's life changing. I don't need to wear deodorant at all and don't sweat or smell. Lasts about 4 month plus another month of very light sweating before I go back to normal. Doesn't hurt too much (icing beforehand takes the edge off). In the US it's very pricey -- around $1000 -- so I only do it a couple of times a year. If money were no object I would do it every 4 months. Love that my white shirts don't get yellow pit stains in the summer. Highly recommend!
Fellow stinky armpit girl (it infuriates me!). It’s been a lifelong quest and I use TO glycolic acid before bed too and it’s so effective. I was going to buy Cyklar immediately until I saw the comment above. One that has worked for me (shockingly because nothing does) is Astrid deodorant which I randomly added to cart when buying their razors (so good!). xx
Have you tried an antitranspirant yet? I‘m a fellow swetty Betty and swear by them. I use one from Vichy (it has a white cap and is suited for sensitive skin). Haven’t had any problems since switching to it, even on those reeeallly hot summer days.
I got underarm Botox just over 2 weeks ago for the first time & I’m significantly less sweaty underarm! I honestly didn’t find it too painful. Been told will need to top-up about every 6 months or so once sweat returns. Personally I’d recommend trying it if, like me, sweaty underarms are a real nuisance & discomfort & confidence zapper xo
I have used the Cyklar deodorant for about 3 months and I love it ! But, I ran out and went back to my phlur deodorants and I have the worst body order.
My derm warned me that since the Cyklar has Mandelic acid - which opens your pores , when you stop using it.. the pores remain open and a regular deodorant can’t fight the sweat or smell as much
Just wanted you to be aware if it happens to you !
Anna, loved your post just now. When can we hear about your swimsuit purchases? 🙏🏻 or did I miss this in a different post?! I seem to remember you saying you bought an Eres one from NAP, too! Desperate to know! X
Oh my god it was SO good. The most expensive swimsuit I've ever tried, but it FELT like it. It was brilliant. I returned it but only because of sizing (it was a little tight, but I have dreams of being more toned next summer - ha!). So I hope to repurchase next year!
Just a heads up for anyone wanting the tote - Alex Mill doesn’t accept international returns and their customer service ghost you if you try. My fault for not spotting it, but frustrating given that they sell in GBP and ship to the UK.
Hi fellow super-sweaty gal here 🙋🏻♀️. Botox = gamechanger. I get it under the arms twice a year now! (I won’t get on face - some sort of twisted logic right there) Complete convert. When my daughter said she wanted to get it a few years ago, I was kinda against it - no you’re meant to sweat etc etc. But then I succumbed and I absolutely love it! No more wearing only things that disguise or allow for it or feeling less than chic with sweaty pits. I don’t think I can ever go back. Now I just use a roll on crystal deodorant for any strays to neutralise and good to go.
Your equally sweaty friend is on standby for the tote bag. I would like it to say CHUFFED if you’re taking requests xoxoxox
I cannot wait to meet you FINALLY!!!
Yayyyyyy 🥂 cannot waittttt!

I haven't heard of these!! Will look into it - thank you!
Don't know you but love you! Practical, stylish and REAL. Phew.
Haha, thank you!
I have this exact JCREW rollneck. It’s so flattering and easy to style!
So glad you love it too!!

She was literally BEGGING them to consider policy and they just didn't care. Wild!

That tote bag is very tempting!!
Oh my gosh that makes my heart MELT! Me too gal, me too!

Amazing!! I'm definitely going to look into it!
I always return to nuud https://nuudcare.co.uk/ - it just works. Agree the glycolic acid is effective but with this I don’t need it.
Super helpful - thank you!

Not needing to wear deodorant!?! Heavenly!!!
I know, right? 😎

Oooooh I didn't even know they did deo! Thank you for the heads up!

I have tried all sorts, but nothing seems to work long term. Not sure I've tried this one, though, so I'll give it a go. Thank you!

They are indeed both of those things, so I will look into it. Thank you!

Update. They have come back to me and made a one time exception to allow the return.
