Every Sunday, I put together a scrapbook of sorts of my week in outfits. Sometimes I feel like I’ve nailed it; other times it feels like a bit of a fail, but when I went to write this week’s edition, I realised that I just hadn’t really been getting dressed at all. Erm, whoops. I mean, I put clothes on - I’m not a complete nudist - but we’re talking the bare necessities here: the same jersey pyjama set, jeans and tee combos, a pair of Levi’s I wore for four days in a row. I wasn’t exactly reinventing the wheel, but I guess that’s the post, right? What do I wear when I’m putting in zero effort? And let me tell you, that theme is tried and tested, baby….
THE-WORKING-FROM-HOME UNIFORM
In all honesty, I haven’t been doing that much working recently, let alone WFH. We’ve reached the tail end of my son’s summer holiday stint, and it’s been a complete whirlwind of playdates, birthdays for practically every important family member (New Year’s celebrations go BIG in my circle!), and visiting M&S a grand total of four times to get the correct size school shoes. Mum mode has overtaken work mode, and it’s been a chaotic kind of fun - I’ve enjoyed it far more than I thought I would - but MAN put a laptop in front of me because I am READY 👏 TO 👏 GO 👏 !!!!
When I have had a chance to pitter-patter away at my keyboard, I’ve been wearing whatever I can grab from my wardrobe that most closely resembles pyjamas. I mean, sometimes I am just wearing my Coucou set of this baby tee* and these trousers*, or I wear something like this…

FOR MY KID’S BIRTHDAY
We’ve had all sorts of celebrations for my little guy’s birthday, ranging from a soft play party for him and his mates to a trip to the local amusement park because he’s absolutely MAD for rides and begs for us to go on the waltzers with him (sorry dude, but as a grade A emetophobe, it’s a no). But for a family tea, I thought I’d keep it simple, but crack out my wacky trousers*, which were a hit and complimented on by every single person who saw me that day. They are just so FUN.

THE ‘I NEED TO LEAVE THE HOUSE’ OUTFIT
There’s been a much-welcomed chill in the air, so I dug around in my wardrobe and rediscovered my trusty COOR Flannel shirt (sadly long gone, but this* and this* feel similar). It’s the perfect in-between for when a T-shirt feels too flimsy, but knitwear too stuffy. I like wearing it barely buttoned up so it looks sort of thrown on, worn with jeans and flip-flops to go and see my best friend (aka my local post office worker - we are now on first-name terms).
